We are pleased to announce two new exciting fires to the Paragon range – the Paragon Edge gas stove, and Paragon P5 inset gas fire.

Edge Gas Stove

The Edge gas stove is a high efficiency glass fronted freestanding unit available in both conventional flue (CF) and balanced flue (BF) for natural gas connections. Producing up to 4kW of heat at 82.5% efficiency in CF and up to 6kW output at a massive 95% efficiency in its BF guise, customers will be as pleased with the performance and low running costs as much as the stunning looks of the new stove.

Paragon Edge combines clean crisp styling of a cast iron stove door with a highly realistic flame picture and log bed operated by Bluetooth remote control, to satisfy strong demand for an easy to use and convenient to operate freestanding stove. Enhancing the looks still further is standard anti-reflective ceramic glass, and black mirror firebox linings. Combined these emphasise the comforting ambience of real flames licking around high definition logs on a realistic glowing ember bed.

Designed and developed exclusively in our labs in Telford, the foundation of the Edge flame effect lies in the bespoke burner system optimised to efficiently combine gas and air into highly attractive flames, glow and heat to replicate a log burning stove in such a convincing way. Full sequence low voltage remote control with optional battery backup using state of the art Bluetooth technology ensures the convenience that today’s consumers insist upon.

C&J’s associate commercial director Dane Beckett commented:

“Thanks to availability of Edge CF for existing flues or chimneys and Edge BF that has both rear and top flue system connections available, installation variables are vast. Even the CF version can be fitted to a typical UK pre-cast flue using the optional rear connection kit for easy and neat siting. Dimensionally at 406mm wide, 595mm high and 370mm deep, Edge has been sized to be very practical for UK homes yet still able to give the visual impact that buyers want for their living space. Many brand-new opportunities lie in extensions, orangeries and kitchen-diners so installations are simply no longer limited to the everyday living room setting. We can already clearly see retailers benefitting from this trend and being rewarded by vigorously promoting gas stoves as a really desirable and convenient alternative where wood burners might until recently have been the first choice.”

Paragon P5 Inset Fire

The well-established Paragon P series has been extended once again with the addition of the attractive mainstream 620mm x 620mm viewing window conventional flue (CF) P5. Designed to be an impressive mid-sized firebox that will still fit comfortably within the vast majority of UK builders’ openings, the natural gas fired P5 also benefits from a completely new “Core” technology burner design and ceramic logs that maximise a dramatic flame effect right across the broad fire bed.

Dane explains the P5 background further:

“Market demand for superb looking larger format gas fires has been obvious for some time and the customer continues to expect step improvements in realism combined with manageable pricing and practical installations. The P5 delivers on this brief across the board and strengthens our authorised retailer’s armoury where it matters. Standard high definition logs and anti-reflective glass plus optional black mirror glass firebox liners all enhance the open fire effect and improve viewers sensory experience. All this can be installed either hole in the wall style or with a new range of our own high-quality limestone surround packages designed to suit both the firebox and UK customers homes.”

“Our development team never ignore performance in the quest for a great-looking gas fire as the P5 proves; 83.4% Efficiency and a 5.4kW output are definitely going to warm even the coolest corner of the room. Full sequence ignition and control is provided by the low voltage mains Bluetooth remote with optional battery backup.”

The attractive proportions of the P5 lend it to a wide range of 54” fireplace designs as well as hole in the wall styles that can be installed into a huge variety of UK homes.
