fireWood burning stoves are popular for a wide range of home owners around the UK and further a field. No longer are stoves the preserve of country homes. With a wide range of designs and price bands there is a wood burning stove for all tastes, home types, and budgets.

Not only a wider choice of stoves means people have more options, the very fact that a stove can also supplement a homes central heating is a huge bonus. A stove looks a great deal more attractive than a radiator, and heating a home with the help from a stove is also an environmentally friendly option.

Defra Exemption:
.

All Charlton & Jenrick stoves are Defra exempt. As part of the Clean Air Act, which first came into effect in 1956, there are restrictions in place that means certain stoves could not be used in specific Smoke Control areas. You could be fined up to £1,000 for burning specific fuels or using appliances in Smoke Control areas, which are not exempt. On a plus note however, the growing number of Defra exempt stoves coming to market has helped increase overall demand. Defra exempt stoves have provided a great development for the industry, and also allows people to enjoy a stove, who otherwise would not have been able to.

The advancements in stove design over the years has meant customers have more choice than ever when it comes to selecting their perfect stove. From freestanding stoves, to stoves that are part of a suite or a stove that is built into a wall, the choice combinations are virtually endless.

Thanks to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, it has been easier than ever to quickly share images and videos, which appeal to people. People use Pinterest as a source of inspiration, especially when it comes to interior design and home improvement ideas. Around 85% of Pinterest users are women. Social media has also led a trend in sharing ideas, thoughts, opinions and designs on a truly global scale.
