Glamping. In the Winter?
Glamping, unlike camping is actually a very realistic possibility in the winter. Glamping in the winter is made even better with the addition of a wood burning stove. While there maybe times in the summer, when a wood burning stove may not be needed due to the warm evenings, in winter it’s simply perfect!
What is better than settling down in a warm glamping tent or log cabin with a roaring fire keeping you toasty?
Unlike camping, which for most, maybe hard going in winter, this is simply not the case when you glamp. You’re closer to nature and the outdoors, without being too exposed to the elements!
Glamping in the winter is all about….
The Scenery – There is something magical about a woodland or forest in the autumn and winter. The twisting, turning colours of the leaves, which eventually gives way to a vast open expanse of woodland is incredible, and when jack frost visits, a truly magical winter wonderland is created.
The Cosy Pubs – While it’s great to be warm and snug while glamping in the winter, it’s also great to enjoy a cosy pub, where you can enjoy winter ales, wines or whatever takes your fancy, and of course the walk back through the winter forest to your awaiting abode!
The Dark Mornings – Usually a struggle for those getting up for work. But the dark mornings are a blessing for those on holiday and wanting a relaxing, long lie-in! You certainly won’t be woken by a 6am sunrise.
The Winter Walks – Heading off out for a walk in the midday winter sun, or enjoying a late afternoon stroll as the sun goes down, is a great way to relax. Winter walks out in nature, whatever the weather, makes the return home to your creature comforts that much more enjoyable. Especially so if you have a beautiful wood burning stove to welcome you.
The other great thing about glamping in the winter is it’s usually cheaper, and you have a wider choice of accommodation. If you love the great outdoors, and being out in nature, but want to enjoy the warmth and comfort of being in-doors, then try glamping!
