Our New Hashtag – #MyCJFire

We have launched our own hashtag #MyCJFire. For those who are unfamiliar with hashtags we have found an excellent video on YouTube, which helps explain this in a little more detail.

This hashtag is designed to build our online activity, and to bring us closer to customers and those thinking about buying a Charlton & Jenrick product. We are planning a number of activities with our hashtag including:

1. Online Competitions – Including running a monthly prize draw where people can upload to Facebook and Twitter pics of their Charlton & Jenrick fire or stove. Ensuring they add #MyCJFire to the post, we will be able to aggregate and view all the results in almost real time.

The most creative or interesting photo will win a £50 High Street voucher – with one winner a month being announced. This competition is designed to get customers talking about their Charlton & Jenrick fire or stove, and share with other customers and potential customers.

2. Testimonials – Testimonials are a great way to help create positive reassurance for a brand. Using #MyCJFire will allow in real time, testimonials to filter though on social media – so a potential customer can feel confident that the testimonials they are reading on our website are both genuine and recent. Furthermore should they so wish, someone will also be able to connect with that person who has provided a testimonial through their own social media account.

Once the hashtag has developed and people are using it, we will be looking at integrated in real time the hashtags to appear on a dedicated page on our website. So if you added a photo of your fire, and added the #MyCJFire hashtag, your post will filter though. Below is an example of how this could look, using an unrelated hashtag.
